Local Installation of Belvu

Download and install Belvu

Belvu is supported as part of the SeqTools suite at the Sanger Institute. Click here to go to the SeqTools page. Download the latest version, unpack the tar file, and compile belvu by following instructions in INSTALL (./configure and "make belvu").

You can also find some executables for old versions of belvu here:
1. Download the appropriate file, uncompress it and copy it to a directory in your path, e.g. /usr/local/bin.
2. Make sure that the Belvu binary is called 'belvu' by renaming the file for your platform to belvu (e.g. "mv belvu.SUN belvu") and that it is in your path.
3. Make sure it is executable (chmod 755 belvu).
